Josua Habermel
16th C.

German scientific-instrument maker, and a likely relative of his famous colleague and namesake Erasmus Habermel (c. 1538-1606), although we do not know their family ties, if any. Josua worked for Wilhelm V of Bavaria in 1565, then settled in Regensburg in c. 1576. Beginning in 1590, or shortly before, was active in Prague, where he may have worked with Erasmus Habermel.
