Quadrant made by Charles Whitwell, similar to item inv. 155. The shadow square occupies two adjacent sides; the opposite corner carries a pivoting vane with sights. In the center is engraved a Stöffler horary quadrant bounded by the arc of the degree scale. The back carries a zodiacal calendar and the windrose.
