This terrestrial globe is one of the undated models produced by Willem Jansz Blaeu. It shows a rough outline of the coasts of Australia (New Holland), while California is still depicted as an island. Each region is displayed with its physical geographic features (mountains, rivers, etc.), typical animals and plants, and scenes of the everyday life of local inhabitants.
