Known to be in contact with Grand Duke Ferdinand III of Tuscany (1769-1824). At the request of Giovanni Fabbroni (1752-1822), Favi acquired in Paris a prototype meter now in the collections of the Museo Galileo of Florence (inv. 389, 3342).
