French physicist and mechanic. His productions include a rather innovative pendulum and a globe with a special mount. Chiefly remembered as the maker of a planisphere for calculating the distances and sizes of the planets in accordance with the Copernican system. Author of Description d'une sphère mouvante (Paris, 1714). Probable maker of one of the armillary spheres in the Museo Galileo (inv. 3263).
