Instrument for copying drawings on different scales. Consists of four jointed rods forming a parallelogram; the joints can be shifted to obtain the desired reproduction scale. It has a fixed center and two free ends: one carries a dry tip that follows the outline of the original drawing; the other carries a writing tip that traces the copy in enlarged or reduced form.
