Composed of no less than 1,532 elements, the Jupiterium constructed by Officine Panerai is an exceptional work of mechanical engineering. The clock, which has a 40-day power reserve, governs a perpetual calendar and an elaborate planetarium. Through a complex gear train the planetarium shows in real time, as seen from the Earth, the exact positions of the stars, the Sun, the Moon and Jupiter, with the four satellites discovered by Galileo orbiting around it.
