 Atmospheric Pressure

In the 18th century the barometer, introduced around the mid-17th century as a laboratory instrument for studying pneumatics, became an indispensable tool for the development of meteorology. Variations in atmospheric pressure are, in fact, closely linked to changes in the weather.
