Erector
Erector

The erector typically consists of two positive converging lenses that, together with the eyepiece lens, form the compound eyepiece. The erector tube is used to restore the image of the object to an upright position. The erector is a standard fixture of terrestrial telescopes, in particular those made by Eustachio Divini (1610-1685) and Giuseppe Campani (1635-1715).
